DENTON put a dent in Prestwich’s league title aspirations - with a helping hand from the rain. The Heys side found themselves losing out due to an inferior run rate when a huge downpour brought the game to a halt on Saturday with 13 overs still to play.

After a promising start to the season, it appears match reports from our various teams have dried up a bit. Had nothing from the seconds for three games and still waiting on one from the thirds from 14th June. Also, if any junior team manager's fancy writing progress reports on their sides season so far then they'll also go on the website and in the programme. Please send to me at the usual address.

AN inspired spell of bowling from John Walters wrecked Stand’s hopes of retaining the Walkden Cup. The Prestwich bowler provided six of the best after he had been drafted in to replace holidaying skipper Chris Humphreys.

Prestwich FC are delighted to announce that we are now official members of the Lancashire Amateur Football League. Following this evenings annual general meeting at the Lancashire FA headquarters in Leyland, the member clubs followed the recommendation of the league committee and voted in favour of our application.

It's been an excellent start for the A team with three wins out of three - Mr T would be very proud! The side started off with a 37-run victory away at Winton where Joe Humphreys top scored with 10 in the Prestwich total of 234.
