I would like to place on record both my personal condolences and that of all at PCTBC to Wilma, Gary and Tony and all their family.
As Tony said at the funeral earlier today, a larger than life individual who was hugely proud of all his family and as indeed his family and friends were of him.
My memories of Eddie include watching him visit the club to catch up with the sporting development of both his sons and latterly his grandson.
Over the years I discussed there various merits with him and he always displayed his pride in all of them. I remember particularly discussing the many aspects of Tony’s strange, and, sometimes, bordering on the horizontal dedication to the game of cricket; Eddie replied ‘There you go thats our Tony’.
Tony is today teaching the merits of the game to the Germans, now there is a lesson I would like to attend!
Other memories include his socialising around the bar at PCTBC with Len, Brian ,Roy and the much missed Dougie Richardson.
In all a legendary group of supporters of the PCTBC bar! What a real bunch of characters!
God rest Eddie.
