Happy New Year to all our members, players, family and friends. The Social Committee are currently in the process of compiling the social calendar for 2012.

We already have a few winter quizzes left before the cricket season starts, and the usual BBQ, End of Season party, Cheese and Wine and NYE will be held as usual.

Last year we had a year without the hog roast, and this year we want to replace it with perhaps an alternative event.

So, this is where we ask for your help. Should anyone have any suggestions for some new functions that could be held at the club this year, they can be emailed to curlykjh@hotmail.com or you can contact Kate Hinchliffe on 07793 134 010.

Please have a think and let Kate know of any bright ideas!

With the festive period almost upon us, please read on for details of when the club will be open for business.

Sunday 25th December – CLOSED
Monday 26th December – CLOSED
Tuesday 27th December – CLOSED
Wednesday 28th December – OPEN at 8pm
Thursday 29th December – OPEN at 8pm
Friday 30th December – OPEN at 7pm
Saturday 31st December (New Years Eve) – OPEN 1pm till 2am

It’s getting that time of year again so why not say goodbye to 2011 and see in 2012 with friends and family down at the club!

The usual disco starts at 7:30pm and will continue all the way through to the wee hours.

Tickets are now available from behind the bar at the club, cost only £5 each.

PCTBC’s ‘Stars in their Eyes 2011’ Charity fundraising family night was a successful evening enjoyed by all. Total proceeds of £648.50 were raised for the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity Fund.

The club would like to thank the following people without whom this event would not have been possible.

Thank you to all those who assisted in helping make the evening a great success, including donations, prizes and organising. Also much appreciation to the brilliant audience in their support and generosity and all the extra ‘stars’ who dressed up!

Stock up on some gifts and treats before Christmas at Prestwich Cricket Tennis and Bowling Clubs Winter Fair. Featuring stalls selling candles and festive lighting, costume jewellery, hand made cards and a discounted body shop stall.

The fair will be held on SUNDAY 20th NOVEMBER, from 2pm onwards in the main room at the club.

Mulled wine and mince pies will be available to buy from the kitchen so come along, bring your purses and get in the festive spirit early!!!

PCTBC’s annual Cheese and Wine evening is scheduled for Friday 4th November 2011, 8pm onwards. Ticket price includes one glass of wine and selection of cheese, pate and bread etc and are available from the bar at only £8.00 each. You can also pay on the night. Live music from ‘Hard Times’.

Further wine will be available to purchase throughout the rest of the evening.
